Why I Work With Men.

While I work with clients of all genders, I have a particular passion for and expertise in working with men. In my experience, men come to therapy with goals that aren’t always addressed through traditional approaches.

Often, I encounter men working through a pattern called “Nice Guy Syndrome”. While being “nice” is generally considered a good thing, patterns of people pleasing and non-confrontation can lead to significant dysfunction in men’s lives. Such dysfunction can take the form of substance abuse, anger management problems, anxiety and depression. Drawing on the work of Dr. Aziz Gazipura and Dr. Robert Glover, I work with men to live and communicate authentically and to leave behind patterns that haven’t served them.
